This Privacy Policy describes how Campfire Interactive, Inc. (“Campfire Interactive,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you (“user,” “you,”, or “your”). This Privacy Policy applies to Personal Information we may collect when you access or use our website, https://campfire-interactive.com/, (“Website”) or any other website, mobile applications, and related services we control on which we may place this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Campfire Interactive Services”). This Policy also describes how we and others may use Personal Information, under what circumstances we may disclose Personal Information to third parties, and the instances in which we may allow third parties to collect information directly. Depending on your activities when using or accessing the Campfire Interactive Services, you may from time to time be required to agree to additional terms and conditions.

Our Services are hosted in and directed at individuals in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, you should not access or use the Campfire Interactive Services and should not share your Personal Information with us.

By using the Campfire Interactive Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use our Services. We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. The last updated date above provides you with notice that the Privacy Policy has been updated.

Please note that this Privacy Policy applies to anyone who uses or accesses the Campfire Interactive Services, regardless of whether you use the Campfire Interactive Services via a computer, mobile device, tablet, or other medium (collectively, your “Equipment”).

This Policy applies to information we collect:

  • On our Website or through your use of the Campfire Interactive Services.

  • In email and other electronic messages between you and Campfire Interactive via the Campfire Interactive Services.

This Policy does not apply to information collected by:

  • Us through any website, content, application, or service we may offer which does not link to this Privacy Policy.

  • Any third party, including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from or through our Website or the Campfire Interactive Services.

1) INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT

We may collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual (“Personal Information”). Personal Information does not include information that is publicly available or de-identified, which we can collect and use for any purpose.

We collect the following information:

  • Identifiers. Such as first and last name, postal address, Internet Protocol (IP) address, email address, telephone number, username, password, profile photo or other similar identifiers.
  • Internet or other similar network activity. Such as your browsing history and information on your interactions with our Website, email, or advertisements. For example, this may include searches you have made, additional services you have added, your IP address, browser type and version, time zone setting, location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access the Services, the pages you’ve viewed or engaged with before or after using the Campfire Interactive Services, and other actions on the Campfire Interactive Services, including the pages or content you view and links you click to third-party applications.
  • Geolocation data. Such as the city or zip code of your location when you use our Services.
  • Professional or Employment-Related Information. Such as information from your resume that you may choose to upload through the Campfire Interactive “Careers” page.
  • Other information you choose to give us. Such as information you share with us on our Website, through the Campfire Interactive Services, or in free text fields. Please do not share Personal Information, including Sensitive Personal Information, in the free text fields.

Note that we do not collect Sensitive Personal Information.

2) HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION

We collect information about our Users in the following ways:

Directly from you. For example, when you complete forms on our Website or through the Services; purchase, access, or use our products and services; provide feedback or request customer service; sign up for our newsletter; share your comments, photos, videos, or other information to the Campfire Interactive Services or when you review us; or when you otherwise communicate with us. This includes information you provide us when you provide your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, business email, etc. or when you share your resume with us through our “Careers” page.

Automatically from your devices. When you access or use the Campfire Interactive Services, information associated with you and/or your Equipment may automatically be collected or received through device-based tracking technologies such as cookies, pixels, tags, beacons, scripts, or other technology.

From third parties. We may receive information about you from vendors and service providers we hire to help us run our business, including the companies that host or operate our Website, process payments for us, send emails for us, provide marketing, analytics, and advertising services, or host our content.

3) COOKIES AND OTHER DATA COLLECTION TECHNOLOGIES

We automatically receive and store certain types of Personal Information whenever you interact with the Campfire Interactive Services. For example, we use “cookies,” “web beacons,” (also called “clear gifs” or “pixel tags”) and “embedded scripts” to obtain certain information when you use or access the Campfire Interactive Services. We use information collected from these technologies to

  • Estimate our audience size and usage patterns.
  • Store your preferences so we can customize the Campfire Interactive Services according to your individual interests.
  • Speed up your searches.
  • Recognize you when you return to the Campfire Interactive Services.

Cookies. Cookies are small files that we transfer to your Equipment’s hard drive or your web browser memory to enable our systems to recognize your browser and to provide convenience and other features to you. We use cookies to provide additional features or functionality to your experience when you use the Campfire Interactive Services, such as storing your preferences and other information about you when you use the Website. You may block or limit the storage of cookies via browser controls or other software. You may also delete cookies manually from your device through your internet browser, operating system, or other programs. Please note that some portions of the Campfire Interactive Services may not function properly or be available if you block or delete certain cookies.

Web Beacons. Web Beacons are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and may be used to track the online movements of users, when an email has been opened, and to provide other information.

Embedded Scripts. Embedded Scripts are pieces of code written directly into a website’s code to add functionality or interactivity to a webpage.

4) YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your Personal Information:

Marketing Information: If you do not want us to use your email address or other contact information to promote or recommend our own products and the Campfire Interactive Services, or third parties’ products or services, you may opt-out by replying to any promotional email we have sent you or following the opt-out links on that message. This opt-out generally will not apply to information provided to us related to a purchase, product service experience, or other service-based transaction.

Accessing, Updating, and Deleting Your Information: You may contact us as set forth in the Contact Us section below to request access to, correction of, or deletion of Personal Information about you in our possession or control, consistent with your rights as described below. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or negatively affect the information’s accuracy.

Location Information: As noted above, when you use our Services, we may automatically collect certain information about the Equipment you are using. This includes the general location of your Equipment through GPS, Bluetooth, or WiFi signals. Your device may permit you to turn off this sharing.

Cookies and Automatic Data Collection Technologies. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when websites set or access cookies. However, if you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of our Website or Services may become inaccessible or not function properly. In some cases, you may be able to set your browser or email program to not download web beacons.

Data Subject Rights. Depending on your state of residency, and to the extent we are covered by that law, you may have certain rights related to your Personal Information, including:

  • Access. You may confirm whether we process your Personal Information and access a copy of the Personal Information we process. Depending on your state, you may have the right to receive additional information, and it will be included in the response to your access request. (e.g., CA, CO, CT, DE, IN, IA, KY, MD, MN, MT, NB, NH, NJ, OR, RI, TN, TX, UT, VA).
  • Data Portability. To the extent feasible and required by state law, depending on your state, data will be provided in a portable format. (e.g., all states noted above in Access except for DE, IN, IA, MT, NB, TN, TX, UT, and VA applies only to consumer-provided data).
  • Correction. You may request that we correct inaccuracies in your Personal Information that we maintain, taking into account the information's nature and processing purpose. (e.g., all states noted above in Access except for IA; IN right limited to only consumer-provided data).
  • Deletion. You may request that we delete Personal Information about you that we maintain, subject to certain exceptions under applicable law. (e.g., all states noted above in Access except UT which is limited to only consumer-provided data).
  • Opt Out of Using Personal Information for Targeted Advertising, Profiling, and Sales. You may request that we do not use your Personal Information for these purposes. (e.g., all states noted above in Access except for IA and UT with respect to use for profiling and IA for use for target advertising).
  • The right to exercise your rights free from discriminatory treatment. (e.g., all states noted above in Access).

Important: The exact scope of these rights vary by state. There are also several exceptions where we may not have an obligation to fulfill your request. Please also note that additional U.S. state laws may provide similar or additional rights. We also honor any additional data subject rights you may have under laws applicable to our business.

California Residents. If you are a California resident, you may have additional personal rights and choices with regard to your personal data. For example, California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits users of our website that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal data to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Note: It is our policy not to disclose the Personal Information of California residents to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes if you exercise your option to opt-out of having your Personal Information with third parties for direct marketing purposes. How We Verify Data Subject Requests

We may require that your identity be verified prior to processing verifiable rights requests. If your request requires verification, we will verify your identity by comparing the information we have about you against the information we receive when you submit your request. If we do not have enough information to verify your identity, we may request additional information from you, consistent with applicable law. We may deny a rights request if we are unable to verify your identity.

Authorized Agents

Some states permit you to designate an authorized agent to submit requests to exercise certain data subject rights on your behalf. Even if you use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, pursuant to applicable law, we may still require that you verify your identity depending on the nature of the request and sensitivity of the information at issue.

If you are an authorized agent submitting a request on behalf of an individual, please submit a request using the contact information provided in the Contact Us section below. You must include a copy of the written, signed permission indicating that you are permitted to act on that person’s behalf.

Appealing a Denied Data Subject Request

In some circumstances, we may deny your request to exercise one or more of the rights described above. If you disagree with our decision to deny your request or any portion of your request, you have the right to appeal our decision within sixty (60) days of receipt of notice that your request has been denied. If you submit an appeal to a denied request more than sixty (60) days after you have been notified of our decision to deny the request, we may deny your appeal. If you submit a timely appeal, we will respond within forty-five (45) days of our receipt of your appeal.

To appeal a decision, please clearly and plainly describe your basis of disagreement with our decision by responding through the same means by which we communicated our decision or by submitting your appeal using the information provided in the Contact Us section below. We will review your appeal and either amend or uphold our decision In either case, we will provide a written explanation of the reason for the decision. This decision will be final.

The following states require that we provide notice to you of your right to contact your state attorney general if your data subject appeal is denied: Colorado, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Montana, Nebraska, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

5) RETENTION

We will retain and use your Personal information for a period of ninety (90) days for the specified purposes for which we collect it and to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements unless a longer retention period is required by law. Following the expiration of the retention period, Personal Information will be deleted.

6) DATA SECURITY

The security of your Personal Information is very important to us. We use appropriate physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards designed to protect your Personal Information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, the Internet environment is not 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee that Personal Information we collect will never be accessed in an unauthorized way. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and promptly notifying us of any suspected unauthorized access.

7) NOTICE OF FINANCIAL INCENTIVES

We do not offer financial incentives or pricing discounts for providing your Personal Information to us or creating an account with us.

8) MINORS’ INFORMATION

The Campfire Interactive Services is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect, sell, or share (as those terms are defined by applicable law) the Personal Information of individuals under the age of 18 years old. If you are under 18, do not use or provide any information to us. If you believe we may have any Personal Information from or about an individual under 18, please contact us using the information in the Contact Us section below. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with their Personal Information, we will delete it promptly.

9) THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND TOOLS

Our Website and the Campfire Interactive Services may contain links to other third-party websites or third-party communications tools. For example, the Campfire Interactive Services may contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, co-sponsors of promotions and affiliates, or plug-ins enabling third-party features. In addition, our “Careers” page may contain links to LinkedIn where you may apply for specific job openings. If you follow a link to any third-party website or engage a third-party plug-in, please note that these third parties have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. This Privacy Policy only applies to our Website and the Campfire Interactive Services. If you click a link on our Website or through the Campfire Interactive Services that takes you to another website or service which we do not control, you should review their policies before sharing information with that third-party.

10) MATERIAL CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

As noted above, we may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, and we will provide notice of any material changes to the Privacy Policy as required by law. All changes will be effective upon posting of the updated Privacy Policy on our Website. If you object to any change, you can stop using our Services. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
